The meticulous Matze scored this rip, requested long ago by Oldskool. I know very little of the band It appears they could be German, though it would not surprise me if this band is from the UK.
Share your comments and stories if you've got 'em! Members listed for this are Marc Harvey and Nigel Lackey. Lackey, according to Discogs.com, appears to have been involved in the band Soho, which had that song Hippychick back in 1990 which sampled The Smiths...
This 1986 EP was released on Modell Records.
01. Curse Of The Bodysnatcher
02. Night
03. Vampires
04. Road Movie

Now you made an old man happy. I only had this song in my mind for the last 20+ years and I am not disappointed hearing it again. To me it's very atmospheric, dark, beautiful monotony. I also think "Vampires" is a fantastic, well-crafted instrumental. Thank you a gazillion times!
Oldskool,
Can't argue with that! Keep it in your head another 20 years, then another twenty on top of that, and then again.
I'll try :)
They're from UK. Marc Harvey was also a member of Modern Art. Gary Ramon was in Sun Dial and owner of Acme Records, so it seems they were part of this psychedelic-kraut-experimental-rock team. Mutant Sounds has posted the Perscription Archive Series which includes a Mystery Plane CD.
I downloaded that stuff from Mutant Sounds a while ago. I was quite sure that was another band, although there are small similarities in the music. Are you positive they are the same?
The line-up is the same (check the back cover image in the M.S. file). In their myspace page you can also find the same names. I don't know if Gary Ramon was present in the EP that Fritz posted or he joined the band later. Maybe this could explain the difference in music, although I believe that the Acme team were trying many styles/genres in their releases.
Thank you, Rainy Day Sponge, for digging so deep!
From London to be more precise. This is their myspace page

I've always loved Mark Harvey's work
