Martina and Gisela from Östro 430 had this really neat little side project called II. Invasion. This band churned out a mini LP on Sneaky Pete Records in 1987. Great catchy Wave-Goth along the lines of Grauzone's poppier tunes. This is something that puts a smile on my face whenever I listen. A sixth song appears on the Christmas sampler "How Much More Black Can It Be?" Grab it all here.
The Band:
Vocals, Saxophone: Martina Weith
Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals: Martin Keil
Drums, Keyboards, Vocals: Stefan Dötsch
Guitar [Backing], Vocals, Keyboards: Gisela Hottenroth
Keyboards: Pyrolator (Graue Katzen)
Tracklisting:
1. Es Wird Nicht Besser
2. Bleib Hier
3. Lager
4. Urwald
5. Graue Katzen
Bonus:
Kommet All Ihr Kinderlein

Awesome! Thanks for posting this one :)
T.,
Very welcome.
I'm jealous that you could get to dig for all this old vinyl if you find the time. I'm sure so much of it has dried up in shops, though, sort of like trying to find NY bands around Manhattan.
Actually found a copy of this last year upon your excellent recommendation. Still searching for that pesky Stimmen Der Stille album though!
I'm hitting up some good ones in London this week.. Tooooo HARD to contain the excitement...unlimited possibilites...:D
(still making up for the sacrifices I had to make with my move to good ol' Deutschland)arghhhhhhhhhhh the records I had to get rid of !!!
....it was like a tiny little death
